Guided public tour Cindy Sherman - Nathalie Djurberg
every second saturday of the month | Goetz Collection, Base 103

From January 29th to July 18th 2015, the Goetz Collection presents works by Cindy Sherman and Nathalie Djurberg. Every second Saturday of the month, the Goetz Collection together with Filomele - Die Kunstkultur will present the artists and their work via a public tour.

Cindy Sherman (born 1954 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, US) presents herself in various roles before the camera thereby deconstructing gender roles and stereotypes. With approximately sixty photographs, the retrospective at the Goetz Collection gives a comprehensive overview of her oeuvre.

In Base 103, several works by Swedish artist Nathalie Djurberg are on view. With clay figures out of plasticine, textiles and synthetic hair, she stages nightmarish stories using stop-motion. In addition to a total of eight films, her multimedia work The Experiment¬ for which she won the Silver Lion at the 2009 Venice Biennale can also be seen.
