Zilla Leutenegger: Munich Apartment
March 9 – April 29, 2007 | ZKMax, Munich

In parallel with the exhibition Imagination Becomes Reality: Conclusion at the ZKM in Karlsruhe, the ZKMax in Munich presents the Kitchen and Living Room sections of Zilla Leutengger’s multi-room Munich Apartment installation.

In her works, Zilla Leutenegger combines drawing, photography, painting, sound and digitally manipulated moving images. The artist’s own persona also plays an important role. Ranging from still life to wallpainting and from installation to video, her oeuvre generates a unique realm of perception in which the spatial illusion of two-dimensional media such as photography, painting and film are transposed into a tangible third dimension. As such, her work is an excellent example of the extended concept of painting as a means of portraying of our reality – one of the fundamental themes of the five-part exhibition cycle Imagination Becomes Reality.

Zilla Leutenegger (born 1968 in Zürich, CH) lives and works in Zürich.
