Cindy Sherman Office Killer, 1997 Film screening
March, 26, 2015, 7.00 pm | Filmmuseum Munich

The American artist Cindy Sherman is a big horror fan. In her photographs, she presents herself not only as a cool lady or glamorous movie star, but also as an evil witch or scary corpse. Sherman was able to live out her passion for horror stories in the black comedy Office Killer, 1997, for which she wrote the screenplay and which she directed.

Office Killer tells the story of the gray office mouse Dorine, whose job has become her life, for, at home, she is only awaited by her sick and bedridden mother. When the newspaper editors threaten job cuts, Dorine becomes a murderer.
The film’s screening on 26.03.2015 at 7.00 pm in the Munich Film Museum takes place in cooperation with the Goetz Collection, which is presenting a solo exhibition of photographs by Cindy Sherman. The curator of the Goetz Collection, Karsten Löckemann, provides an introduction to the artist’s work.

Ticket reservations can be made by calling the Film Museum directly at 089-233-96450.
