The more than 5000 works in the Sammlung Goetz are kept in various storage facilities. These not only comply with the strictest safety regulations, but also with the various climatic requirements of the collection’s diverse artistic media. International discussions on and approaches to improving art storage and conservation are closely followed. The expert care and guardianship of the artworks by conservators, restorers and exhibition technicians at the Sammlung Goetz are the prerequisites for making the works accessible to the public in exhibitions and to meeting the demands of loaning activities. Written inquiries for loans are carefully reviewed according to conservational criteria and decided on at short notice.
