FSJ Kultur at the Sammlung Goetz: Experience report 2025/26

During my Voluntary Social Year (FSJ Kultur) at the Sammlung Goetz, I primarily work in the field of digital communication and have a wide range of responsibilities. From the website and the web app to our Instagram channel, there’s always something to do. Especially on Instagram, I have a lot of creative freedom and can put my own ideas into practice. For example, I created the reel that you can see on this page.

I’m also getting to know other areas of the collection better, such as the education department, by helping to plan and run workshops. And I get to observe the staff as they set up exhibitions and work in the art storage. This gives me insight into all the different aspects of working in a museum.
