Women’s power during the holidays! Women play all the main characters in Ulrike Ottinger’s film Dorian Gray im Spiegel der Boulevardpresse. The film is about the machinations of Dr. Marbuse, the female CEO of an international media corporation. To increase circulation, Dr. Marbuse creates the fictional Dorian Gray. The plan initially seems to work, but, as Dorian Gray (played by Veruschka von Lehndorff) becomes ever more popular, he turns on his creator. The Sammlung Goetz is screening the film from the Ottinger’s “Berlin Trilogy” as a screening special event from 24 to 30 December 2022 on its website.
