Porzellanmanufaktur Nymphenburg

Architecture and Art in Dialogue

Manufactoring Workshops as places of contemporary architecture and art

On the occasion of the cooperation project between the Sammlung Goetz and Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, we will take a look behind the scenes of the traditional porcelain manufactory as part of our next ARCHITECTURE AND ART tour in March. In an exclusive guided tour, we will not only see the exhibition rooms, but also gain an insight into the workshops in which the fine handicrafts are created. One of the highlights will be the presentation of the Flower Projection (Herbst) by Peter Fischli David Weiss from the Sammlung Goetz, which will be shown there on the occasion of the interdisciplinary Flower Power Festival. At Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg, the 2-channel slide projection meets the filigree blossoms and enchanting floral decorations of the artisans. Another highlight is a visit to the historic furnace hall of the manufactory. This is currently being redesigned and will serve as a showroom for "Nymphenburg Architecture" from May. There, the manufactory will present handmade interior designs: tiles, sinks and lamps made of Nymphenburg porcelain and majolica - a paradise for everyone!

A cooperation of the Sammlung Goetz, FILOMELE and guiding architects munich.
