Art after work tour + drink: In dialogue with Barbara Vinken

With her passion for costumes and masquerade, the world of fashion offers Cindy Sherman a wide field for artistic exploration. With her photographs, she subverts social notions of female beauty and body norms. In this dialogue, Cornelia Gockel (curator of media art, Goetz Collection) talks to renowned literary scholar and fashion expert Barbara Vinken about Cindy Sherman's works from the Fashion series, fashion as a playful exploration of identities, and the messages it conveys. After the tour, we’d like to continue our conversation over a glass of wine at the Sammlung Goetz /Studio, right next door.
