Guided tour
The portrayal of female role models in photographic self-portraits is the central theme in Cindy Sherman’s work. She became known for her black-and-white series “Untitled Film Stills”, in which she embodies stereotypical female characters from fictional film scenes. Later, she created series of large-format color photographs that explore themes such as fashion, fairy-tale characters, horror scenes, and society ladies. The Goetz Sammlung holds extensive groups of works from nearly all phases of her career.
The event takes place as part of Various Others.
