Cyrill Lachauer Screening Special

Higlights from the media art collection

Music is a central element in Cyrill Lachauer’s films and videos. It is not used as a contextual bridge but is rather an independent dramaturgical component. This is also the case in the film 32 m.ü.NHN. - 114,7 m.ü.NHN. (II) (2012), which was created in cooperation with the composer and artist Ari Benjamin Meyers. He composed the suggestive soundtrack for the film, in which Cyrill Lachauer developed an individual concept for surveying landscapes using colored smoke. The Sammlung Goetz is presenting the visually stunning spectacle of color in its Screening Special, which can be viewed on its website on the second weekend in August (14/15 August).
