Kara Walker Screening Special

Higlights from the media art collection

The Afro-American artist Kara Walker is known for her panoramic silhouettes in which she addresses issues of racism, sexism and violence. With her video Fall Frum Grace, Miss Pipi's Blue Tale from 2011, she brings her characters to life in a shadow play. The story tells of a southern belle who begins an affair with her slave. When the affair is exposed, doom takes its course. The Sammlung Goetz will present the video by Walker on its website for the next Screening Special on 13 and 14 November.
