What is your daily motivation, Eli Sudbrack?

My friends and my love. Emotional connections with people who are very close to me are the engine and inspiration to everything I do. Thru these intimate amorous relationships I’m able to develop the energetic context that I want to bring to our projects and which will ultimately be shared with the viewer.

Where do you get your inspiration from in these times?

Besides my friends and my love, definitely nature: an experience at the same time overwhelming and soothing, calming and energizing. That is what I aim with our projects nowadays.

What are you working on right now?

Inaugurating later this month, a large scale public art project at a public hospital in Miami called Jackson North. Early May we have a solo show in NY at Tibor de Nagy gallery. We are also participating in this year’s edition of the Thailand Biennial for we are developing a skateboarding ramp project. We also have a residency scheduled in Kathmandu Nepal in Sep/Oct and another solo show in London in Dec at Lamb Arts gallery.
