A conversation between the Sammlung Goetz and the artist about daily motivation and inspiration
Covid 19 propelled the world into crazy scenarios, a scary time indeed living in New York, one of the early epicenters. I focused on my work and put together a "pop-up" exhibition featuring works produced in 2020. The addition of new technologies was very inspiring. I welcome the looser situation, and hope things continue to progress into a brighter future. Whatever happens, I am here to process the world into my language.
Finding daily inspiration to focus on my practice can be a challenge; but a welcome one. Sometimes I see or experience something that pulls me in whole new directions. Most recently the sport of alpine skiing translated to sculpture and using new mediums as LED lights in the paintings is exciting. My art practice continues to surprise with new ways of seeing the world all while remaining within my own unique language.
